UTZ Quality Foods Inc Week Night Shift Production Manager in Hanover, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 5001040912200 Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Night Shift Production Manager to join our team of manufacturing professionals at the Broadway Plant in Hanover, PA. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position is essential to the successful operation of our facility. The production manager will be responsible for scheduling production and maintaining plant efficiency. Ideal candidates will have experience in leading others as well as exceptional problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities Reviews plant operations with Weeknight shift leadership to ensure KPI's are met or exceeded. Ensures all quality standards are maintained on the night shift. Oversees the Processing and Packaging departments. Monitors and analyzes labor hours and crew size needed to efficiently run production lines. Identifies areas of CI and develops plans for improvement. Involved with the training of new hires. Responsible to ensure compliance with governmental and FSMA regulations. Responsible for ensuring food safety in all actions and responsibilities Follows food safety practices and all applicable requirements of the SQF System Fills in for Supervision in both Processing and Packaging on the Weeknight shift. Works closely and provides direction to the Plant Sanitation Crew. Uses EAM to enter work orders and track preventative maintenance tasks. Works in D365 to rectify inventory, inventory transactions, and schedule production. Performs other duties as assigned that will impact and support the overall outcome of the company and department objectives. Requirements College degree preferred but not necessary with increased knowledge base and applicable experience. Requires planning abilities to schedule production and maintain plant efficiency. Knowledge and skills in production operations (pretzels, snacks) and product quality. Requires problem solving skills. Strong analytical, math and reading skills. Interpersonal and coaching skills needed to lead others. Fluency in English and Spanish is strongly desired, but not required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
