We are seeking a highly qualified professional individual to fill the full-time role of Maintenance Technician on our Facilities team.

The Maintenance Technician will perform repairs and maintenance; assists, as directed in more complex performance and repair of plant facilities and equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Orders and stocks building supplies, materials and parts as required.

  • Plans and schedules corrective action and preventative maintenance

  • Oversees vendors and contractors to determine that work is correctly performed and completed in a timely manner.

  • Gathers information to provide recommendations on requested improvements/modifications to Department Manager including cost estimates, designs, scope-of-work, timing and funding.

  • Evaluates contract proposals.

  • Assists in the development of annual departmental budgets for projects requiring support for the upcoming year operations.

  • Estimate necessary materials and labor required to complete proposed projects.

  • Maintain and records accurate records in CMMS.

  • May be required to respond to 24-hour emergency calls to perform building and equipment repairs during non-business hours.

  • Performs basic carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, painting, or associated work.

  • Uses power tools as directed.

  • Reads building blueprints as needed.

  • Troubleshoots equipment or problems and reports to lead or supervisor.

  • Opens clogged drains and toilets using plumber's tools.

  • Makes and repairs counters, benches, cabinets, partitions, and other wooden structures using saws, braces, bits, and other carpentry tools.

  • Installs glass in windows, doors and partitions.

  • Replaces damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings.

  • Installs items such as window coverings, rods, and door locks.

  • Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.

  • Assists with test grounding and lighting arrest systems in production areas.

  • Performs routine vehicle/machinery maintenance.

  • Other duties as required.

    Job Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of related experience

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs.

  • Ability to obtain approval through BATF for access to work at all Plant locations.

  • Driving background checks required

  • Ability to focus on detailed work with a 100% accuracy expectation of results.

  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to accurately write reports and speak effectively with other employees.

  • Proficient in ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
