Community Relations & Marketing Coordinator

Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center invites applications for the full-time position of Community Relations & Marketing Coordinator. Responsible for implementation of marketing programs including internal and external communications, patient & community involvement and advertising. Works closely with management, department heads, physicians, and employees to identify marketing needs, develop plans and identify areas of opportunity to increase exposure in the community. Prepares, plans, and circulates publicity and other information about the organization through the use of newspapers, flyers, social media, radio and other audio/visual communication media. Works closely with the Human Resources department to enhance employee relations by publishing and editing hospital publications. Maintains marketing budget for the department. Plans and executes special events. Accomplishes assigned duties through written communication, speeches and in person contact. Advises on website, and/or internal intranet enhancements. May require work outside of normal business hours and on weekends. Some travel is required.

This position requires experience with community relations, marketing, SEO, analytics and communications. Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing or other related field is preferred. Experience dealing with employees and the public preferable. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with various computer programs such as Word, Excel, Adobe, Photoshop, Publisher, and audio/video editing. Minimum 2 years' experience with desktop publishing. Highly organized self-starter with ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities and constant interruptions.
