Description
OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Process Engineer II to evaluate new and existing processes and configure manufacturing systems to reduce costs, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify, recommend, and implement approved methods or process improvements
Identify equipment, processes and tooling needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers
Develop innovative solutions
Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards
Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of the production process
Advise on corrective actions
Ensure projects are completed on time
Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Assist in price quote development and job costing reviews
Maintain professional and technical knowledge
Actively participate in LEAN manufacturing activities
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Possess well-developed and demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and project management skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
PC knowledge/computer literate; including the ability to work with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), e-mail and use the internet
Working knowledge of LEAN principles or other continuous improvement skills
Possess excellent organizational skills
Skilled at workflow analysis
Experience with high volume manufacturing
Must have strong project planning and management skills to prioritize tasks and establish framework and systems for managing areas of responsibility
Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment
Skills in 2D and 3D CAD (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred)
Knowledge of ISO 9001 is preferred
EDUCATION
Associate degree in manufacturing engineering or related field. May substitute 2 years of industry experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting
Bachelor’s degree preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear.
