As a member of the Public Affairs team, our Public Affairs Specialists is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and strategic planning of our corporate Political Action Committee (PAC). The position develops and implements fundraising strategies to strengthen Cambia's political resources that align with the company's legislative goals. Additionally, the candidate will support the advocacy efforts of the Federal Affairs and State Affairs teams through policy research and the successful execution of in-person and virtual events with policymakers on priority issues. This position requires a pro-active, detail-oriented individual who can work independently on multiple projects - all in service of creating a person-focused health care experience. What You Bring to Cambia: Qualifications: The Political Affairs Specialist would have a bachelor's degree in Political Science, Government Affairs, Business or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, non-profit management, marketing, event planning, government relations, PAC management, political fundraising or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills and Attributes: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to write and edit clear, engaging, and grammatically correct content * Proven organizational and project management skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines * Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making * Strong fundraising and event planning skills, with experience developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies * Knowledge of FEC laws and regulations * Proficient in using Zoom to create and manage seamless and engaging online experiences, including setting up meetings, managing attendees, and troubleshooting technical issues What You Will Do at Cambia: * Manage the day-to-day PAC operations, including budget management, disbursements, compliance, governance and internal processes, communications, reporting, vendor management, events, solicitation campaigns, and record-keeping * Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to build awareness and drive engagement across the four-state market * Produce written and visual content for all PAC communications, including educational and solicitation materials, internal reports, newsletters, and content for our internal PAC website * Plan, prepare, and lead quarterly PAC board meetings, including developing meeting content, preparing reports and presentations, and facilitating strategic discussions, to inform decision-making and drive PAC goals * Collaborate with internal corporate stakeholders, outside counsel, and vendors for successful PAC management and execution, including ensuring compliance with all FEC guidelines * Build relationships with trade PAC partners and key fundraisers to identify and pursue opportunities for joint events and other collaborative efforts * Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices for PAC programs as well as any new changes to federal campaign To view the full job description,
