Echocardiographer - Weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Complete understanding of echo equipment including safety regulations and malfunctions.

  • Secures order for test and identifies proper patient.

  • Obtains patient history and indications

  • Explains procedure to patient

  • Accurately enters data

  • Performs echocardiography to include M-mode, 2-D, Doppler as indicated

  • Assists MD and other staff with TEES, Stress echo, Pharmacology studies

  • Obtains proper views as indicated

  • Accurately measures and calculates all data

  • Prepares concise summary of study for interpreting cardiologist

  • Reports significant findings

  • Ensures transmission of data

  • Answers questions within scope of responsibility for patient, staff and others.

What you will need :

  • Associates Degree

  • 2 –3 years hospital or office based ultrasonography

  • Registration with either the American Registry of Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.

Per Diem Flat Rate: $42.00

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
