Curia Proposal Analyst I in Albany, New York

PROPOSAL ANALYST – Remote, U.S.

The Proposal Analyst will work as a critical team member within the Legal department and assume primary responsibility for preparing Curia Proposals which may also include High Level Estimates, RFIs (requests for information) and Change Orders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interpreting customers’ requests for proposals (RFPs); utilizing cost estimates from internal technical parties for use in proposal generation; closely interacting with business development team members on overall proposal strategy, construction, pricing and risk mitigation; and facilitating proposals through various stages of completion in the proposal process by complying with financial and legal guidelines.

    Responsibilities

  • Prepare proposals and proposal revisions based on information provided by the sales and technical teams as per the company guidelines.

  • Evaluate incoming RFPs (Request for Proposals) to determine; if necessary, confer with the business development managers/directors to ensure clarity of the request.

  • Manage and lead meetings with internal staff to define the key sponsor drivers, the scope of work and associated costs for proposals.

  • Manage the proposal process, including the acquisition of all relevant information/cost estimates relating to the content of the proposal and budget, as well as the internal review of cost estimates and proposals.

  • Facilitate the approvals from finance, legal, BD, operations heads and other business stakeholders as stated in company guidelines.

  • Prepare quality proposals in a timely manner, considering the customer’s needs. Review and proofread draft proposals from other Proposals team members colleagues, as requested. Provide backup assistance as needed in responding to external client inquiries or internal customer requests. At times participate on client teleconferences in a professional and knowledgeable manner to understand their requests and to explain proposals.

  • Proactively manage and prioritize multiple proposals in various stages of completion in the bid process.

  • Assure ongoing familiarity with all templates and processes required for the effective completion of proposal-related tasks. Create new proposal and budget templates and/or update existing templates as the need arises.

  • Represent the Proposals Group at handover meetings, when introducing newly awarded projects to other functional groups within the company.

    Qualifications

  • BS in Science or Business, Advanced degree(s) preferred

  • Must have excellent writing and interpretation skills.

  • Must have excellent analytical and communication skills.

  • Must have excellent organizational skills. Ability to track multiple proposals & CET task statuses and proactively seek information from sales and technical staff to ensure timely proposal submission.

  • The Proposal Analyst position requires proficiency in several software packages: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Title will be commensurate on education and experience.

    Pay Range: $48,000 - $59, 465/year

    Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
