National Credit Union Administration CUE (Fraud and Risk Analysis Specialist) in Alexandria, Virginia

Summary This position is at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in the Office of Examination and Insurance. This position serves as a CUE (Fraud and Risk Analysis Specialist). Responsibilities As a CUE (Fraud and Risk Analysis Specialist), you will: Develop, update, and revise agency policy and procedures pertaining to the fraud risk program for all federally insured credit unions. Analyze fraud loss metrics for risk assessment and mitigation opportunities. Develop standards and requirements pertaining to credit union operations for the purpose of reducing fraud risk and loss to the Fund. Devise a system of continuing analysis and monitoring that identifies underlying causes to present and potential areas of fraud risk and loss and recommend policy alternatives for dealing with these areas and their causes. Work with regions on severe problem credit union cases to assist in the analysis of problem areas, investigative techniques to identify criminal activity, and formulation of workout plans. Revise, update, and conduct training and awareness programs within the Division's purview for internal use and for external groups as determined by the Agency. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. All applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-13 level obtained in the private or public sector. Specialized experience for this position includes experience in all the following: Developing policies and procedures relating to a fraud program in the financial services, financial regulatory, or law enforcement industry; Evaluating and monitoring areas of fraud risk in the financial services, financial regulatory, or law enforcement industry; AND Advising and coordinating on financial fraud investigations in the financial services, financial regulatory, or law enforcement industry. Additional Information SALARY: Pay will be set within the advertised pay range to align with the selectee's skills and experience and the requirements of the position in accordance with NCUA's compensation policy. The salary range shown is NCUA's Local Pay Rate (LPR) which includes the locality rate for the Alexandria, Virginia geographical area.
