Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Proposals Manager - Proposals to join their team in Alice Springs, NT - Australia.

THE ROLE

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The Proposals Manager works closely with the Engineering, Projects, Integration & Construction (EPIC) Leadership to enable and optimize the delivery of proposal development services in support of construction, operation, maintenance and management of facility assets, infrastructure and systems in Alice Springs. This position plays an integral role within a diverse and complex work environment that is responsible for the management and control of critical infrastructure configuration, construction and project management.

The Proposals Manager is responsible for delivering complex and strategic proposals that align with the required policies and procedures that meet both the customers' and Amentums expectations. This position will be required to lead a team of individuals to integrate with a vast array of departments including the Customer, Program Management, EPIC members as well as the Amentum Global Supply Chain Management team, to develop and deliver effective, efficient and timely proposals, often under tight deadlines.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the end-to-end Proposals documentation process, including understanding RFP, RFI’s, developing solutions, SOW preparation, bid analysis, strategic planning and proposal development.

  • Effectively manage the customer clarification process from the beginning of the RFP phase and throughout the entirety of the Proposal lifecycle.

  • Maintain a good working knowledge of all current, future and completed, proposals.

  • Ensure all proposal documentation is maintained IAW current document control processes.

  • Oversee detailed project execution packages in support of awarded proposals.

  • Facilitate handover meetings with Construction Project Managers.

  • Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliances at site and within the workplace.

  • Develop highly effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders

  • Any other reasonable duties as requested

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS – Minimum Essential

  • Demonstrated Supervisor/Leadership Experience

  • Experience delivering or bidding projects

  • Proposal or Project Management Experience

  • Experience in preparing SOW for Design & Construction, Engineering, Procurement and Construction contracts.

  • SharePoint experience

  • Proposal Planning and Microsoft Project management

  • Proposal preparation using Microsoft Office suite and Adobe

WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines.
