Job Description:

 

  • Provide supportive guidance and care to assist with the individual's activities of daily living (including hygiene) by following the Individualized Support Plan (ISP) and Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP). 
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with all chapter 6400 regulations and policies 
  • Have a passion to gain knowledge about Autism, increasing the individual's independence and working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ID). 
  • Utilize Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and implement the Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP). 
  • Ability to engage in community outings, included but not limited to:  Long, brisk walks/hikes, trampoline parks, amusement parks, and swimming.

     

Job Requirements: 

  • Valid Drivers License and vehicle to transport themselves to and from work as well as transporting client in his vehicle for community activities and shopping

  • Must be at least 21 years of age 

  •  Must be able to obtain a completed Physical Examination and TB test.

  • Clean driving record 

  • Ability to understand and follow supervisory directions and work independently as needed.

  • Ability to clean home daily, assist in cooking, as well as other activities (hygiene, community outings, appointments, etc.).

  • Maintain effective and professional relationship with all staff and individuals

  •  Associate's degree and/or Registered Behavior Technician certification preferred or

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in working with individuals diagnosed with Autism and ID/DD or

  • People interested in teaching students with disabilities.

  • Must have experience working with Disabilities and be enrolled in Human Services or Psychology Classes. 

  • Must possess OR be capable of obtaining FBI, PA Criminal and Child Abuse clearances 

  • Must reside within 45 minutes of Allentown, PA 

  • Ability to work all of the indicated days and hours listed above 

  • Ability to understand and follow supervisory directions 

  • Maintain effective and professional relationship with all staff and client 

  • Experience and background knowledge of the field is a plus!

This position is AWAKE 3rd shift, Full-time / Part-time  

Hours: x

Mon- FRi 11pm-7am or

Sat and Sunday 11pm-7am or

Sat and Sunday 7am-3pm or

 Sundays 3pm-11pm 

Pay range is $18 to $19 hourly with weekend stipend
