Michigan Paving and Materials Company Laboratory Technician in Alma, Michigan
The Laboratory Technician performs routine sampling and testing on emulsified asphalt produced by Michigan Paving & Materials Company. Individual will be responsible for input of laboratory results, preventive maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
This is a full-time seasonal position that may lead to full-time employment opportunities.
Salary: $18.00 - $19.00/ hourly
Work 40+ hours per week
Supervision Excised/Received:
Work assignments or projects are assigned from the Q/C Lab supervisor.
Duties:
Perform routine analysis on asphalt emulsion samples from all productions. Maintain preventative maintenance program for all laboratory equipment. Calibrate and maintain records for certification on all laboratory equipment. Input laboratory-testing results for certification. Perform related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma with technical background. Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or chemistry equivalent is preferred.
Preferred Experience: Laboratory testing experience, proficiency in computer operation, and strong organizational skills.
Must pass a drug test and background check.
