ManpowerGroup Control Systems Engineer in Alpharetta, Georgia
Our client, is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer with DeltaV experience to join their team .
Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering, with 5 years of relevant work experience, or a combination of education and applicable experience.
Expertise in programming:
PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred)
HMIs (Inductive Automation Ignition, AVEVA/Wonderware System Platform, Rockwell FactoryTalk View, GE iFIX preferred)
DCS (DeltaV)
Other systems (Omni Flow Computer, ROC, Presets)
Proficient in Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and OPC communications protocols
Strong understanding of P&IDs, control panel wiring drawings, and field wiring diagrams
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Electrical Protection Relays (Multilin, SEL)
Knowledge of Historian systems
Experience with external notification systems (text, email, mobile app, etc.)
Familiarity with DeviceNet and/or Profibus communications protocols
Responsibilities
Develop programming for DCS, PLC, and HMI systems
Participate in the creation of logic diagrams, cause & effect matrices, and functional narratives
Review and assist in the development of control panel design packages, field wiring diagrams, conduit & cable schedules, and other E&I deliverables
Conduct field verification and user requirements gathering walkdowns
Perform factory acceptance testing and support field start-up/commissioning activities, including troubleshooting
Assist in client training and provide after-hours support as needed
Collaborate with Senior Engineering Leads and Project Managers to ensure quality, budget alignment, and timely updates
Travel required (approximately 25%), with a willingness to travel by air
