The role you’ll contribute:

This position reports to the Financial Accounting Manager and supports the AdventHealth Corporate financial statement consolidation, accounting and financial reporting processes. Key accounting processes include significant balance sheet areas such as investments, long-term debt , and net assets. The AdventHealth consolidation includes hundreds of subsidiaries, total assets of over $20 billion dollars and revenue exceeding $14 billion. The Senior Accountant will prepare, analyze, produce, and compile information for the benefit of executive management , financial decision-making and external financial reporting requirements.

· Ensures the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial and statistical data in the AdventHealth consolidation application

· Demonstrates knowledge of accounting principles coupled with an understanding of business processes including various applications and technology solutions

· Creates and maintains support and training documentation for various accounting processes and systems, including HFM, SmartView, PeopleSoft, Investments and Long-Term Debt which is routinely distributed to organizational end users at various levels

· Creates and maintains detailed documentation related to system development or reporting change requests in the Consolidation Application

· Maintains multi-dimensional data mapping, metadata files, ownership percentages and global statistics in the consolidation application

· Provides day-to-day end user support of HFM, SmartView, Aladdin, ABA and other relevant applications, including troubleshooting data issues, report trees and report templates

· Prepares consolidated equity rollforwards for over $14B in equity at AdventHealth and for managed subsidiaries

· Prepares and records consolidation journal entries for various scenarios, including Actual and Budget

· Prepares account variance analysis and supporting documentation for the month end close process

· Designs, maintains, prepares and distributes monthly and ad hoc financial reports

· Prepares intercompany reconciliations and assists end users in researching and resolving variances

· Prepares and distributes monthly long-term debt accounting journal entries for AdventHealth's $4B debt portfolio

· Prepares and records monthly investment accounting journal entries, rollforwards and executive-level reconciliations on a $7B investment portfolio

· Supports the external audit of the Company's financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis

· Prepares supporting schedules used in the preparation of the footnotes for the consolidated external financial statements

· Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support accurate accounting, consolidation, and reporting

· Supports AdventHealth's implementation of various accounting tools by assisting with cross-team functional integration testing for consolidation, investment and debt accounting applications

· Demonstrates ability to analyze financials and effectively present analysis and outcomes to audiences at various levels

· Available outside of normal business hours for occasional support needs

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent degree from a four-year accredited university or college

· Minimum of four years in an accounting or finance position

Preferred Qualifications :

· MSA or MBA degree from an accredited university or college

· Public accounting and/or accounting experience in a large healthcare company

· CPA license

· Proficiency in PeopleSoft

· Experience with use of Hyperion Financial Management

· Advanced Excel skills

· Working knowledge of SQL and database query techniques
