Eaton Corporation Team Lead Maintenance Tech 1st Shift in Amarillo, Texas
Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Team Lead Maintenance Tech 1st Shift. The core hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $29.86 per hour.
What you’ll do:
This position requires the ability to be responsible for installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of facility equipment, plant and associated systems.
Install equipment/machinery.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Complete/maintain maintenance logs and associated documentation.
Assign work duties for maintenance personnel and provide technical support for maintenance activities.
Communicate equipment/plant status as required.
Participate in LMX3 and Gembas as well as support MESH Prism work order closure.
Maintain and follow all safety requirements and ensure compliance by maintenance personnel.
Own a MESH Element supporting the site Safety/Environmental Program
Coordinate work duties within shift communicating with Operations Leaders for Priority as well as Operators for troubleshooting equipment
Coach Maintenance Team Members as needed for work performance, attendance, communication, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
A minimum of five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience - to include mechanical, electrical, and production equipment experience.
A minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience/skills. Experience assigning tasks utilizing a computerized maintenance management system.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Amarillo, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in metals fabrication.
Able to utilize hydraulic schematics, pneumatic schematics and electrical schematics
Familiarity with wastewater treatment
Ability to modify or program PLC’s and HMI’s a plus
Skills:
Position Criteria:
Work in various locations, including confined spaces, and at varied heights using fall protection, permits, and other safety processes and procedures as required including but not limited to lockout/tagout
Able to stand on feet continuously during shift and able to lift 50 lbs without assistance (40 lbs routinely)
Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, leather gloves and hearing protection (as required in high noise areas).
Environmental exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil.
Strong technical background and familiarity with basic mechanical principles/basic knowledge of shop maintenance tools
Advanced skills in one or more of the following: Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, PLC troubleshooting and repair.
Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and parts breakdown.
Basic skills in reading, arithmetic and writing in English.
Dexterity for and ability to operate equipment, machinery, and computers (including Windows and MSOffice as well as industrial software)
Working knowledge of equipment operations, tooling, machining operations, and product.
Familiarity with safety standards such as electrical safety, arc flash, and lock out/tag out
Familiarity with DC and AC power up to three phase 480-volt AC.
Able to read ladder logic and utilize PLC for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and controls issues
Capable of welding, pipe fitting, rigging
Ability to work around molten metal and in a production environment that is hot and subject to unexpected swings of overtime (ability to flex personal schedule to cover tasks on other shifts)
Ability to communicate effectively and work with all employees throughout plant
Employee must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment with large manufacturing equipment
