MEDICAREMD.COM Staff Accountant in AMERICAN FORK, Utah

In office position in our American Fork, UT office

Job Summary This position is responsible for performing many accounting functions including but not limited to journal entries, preparation of supporting schedules, and compiling of financial statements (balance sheet, statement of income, statement of cash flows). In addition the position has increasing levels of responsibility as well as complexity of accounting terms and methodologies, in analyzing and reviewing financial information for accuracy as well as trends.

What you will do * Applies principles of Accounting to analyze financial information and to prepare financial reports. Analyzes information detailing assets, liabilities, and prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements. * Collects, summarizes, and interprets financial data to prepare journal entries. * Assists in any month/quarter end information preparation to corporate for SEC reporting. * Interfaces with divisional managers and corporate accounting to collect, verify, and provide financial data. * Provides actual versus budget variance commentary for significant budget discrepancies. * Provides data summary and ad hoc reporting as necessary. * Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required Qualifications

Must have: * Typically, 1-3 or more years of related experience. * Bachelor's degree required. * Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. * Strong attention to detail. * High skill level with MS Word, Excel, and Access. * Strong knowledge of Automated G/L, such as JD Edwards. * Knowledge of Great Plains, or comparable system. * Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work * Ability to set clear team goals, delegate tasks and set deadlines * Very good attention to detail and accuracy * Customer service oriented and ability to work with and resolve complex issues * Ability to plan and arrange activities * Excellent interpersonal communication skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information * Ability to work in a team environment * Ability to multi-task * Ability to manage conflict * Capacity to work effectively under pressure * Good analysis and problem solving skills * Oversee multiple and/or complex projects * Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities * Establish productive working relationships at multiple levels within the organization Travel/Physical Demands * Travel typically less than 10%.
