Account Manager - Food

We’re looking for an Account Manager within our successful subsidiary located in Amsterdam (Weesp), the Netherlands. Reporting to the Sr. Account Manager Manager who is responsible for Food in the Netherlands, th e focus of the Account Manager is to build strong partnerships with the retailers to ensure a mutually profitable business. Furthermore the Account Manager is responsible for delivering market shares, sales and margin at your accounts.

What you'll do

Customers: e.g. Plus, Vomar & Sligro

External

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the customer strategy, their shopper and how Colgate-Palmolive can optimize their brands and strategy within this environment

  • Demonstrate commercial drive to identify issues and opportunities for resolution/optimization and target achievement.

  • Day to day contact with our Food customers

  • Yearly negotiation

Internal

  • Develop tailored commercial plans & implement them via a Joint Business Planning

  • Work closely and creatively with a cross-functional commercial team (e.g. finance, consumer engagement, category management and logistics) to identify, develop and implement the appropriate business solutions required to drive the business forward

WHOA, this is totally me

  • 2-5 years experience in account management or marketing within a FMCG company.

  • An optimist in action;

  • Fluent in Dutch and English

  • Hands-on “can do” approach, with willingness to learn and adapt quickly

  • A Bachelor or Master degree

  • Good knowledge & understanding of the FMCG industry and Dutch Retail

  • Passionate about brands and shopper behavior

  • Team player (easily develops relationship with customers and colleagues in other functions) with a winner mentality focused on delivering results

  • Strong analytical skills, accurate, curious and pragmatic
