The Position

The Culture and Communications Intern will play a key role in evolving and bringing to life the Calvin Klein Europe culture in alignment with the vision of the Executive Vice President and leadership team. This position will collaborate closely with leadership, HRBP, and the communications team to drive engagement and promote core company values through strategic communication and impactful events. It is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in employee engagement, internal communication, and cultural development within a dynamic and fast-paced organization.

A day in the life of our Communications intern

Culture Development & Engagement

• Assist in the design, development, and execution of culture-building initiatives that support the company’s strategic vision.

• Partner with the HRBP and leadership team to implement programs and activities that reinforce core values and drive cultural transformation.

• Generate and implement innovative ideas for cultural initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with organizational goals and resonate with employees.

• Collaborate with internal teams to create engaging activities that foster a positive and inclusive work environment, connecting the dots between various cultural efforts and helping employees understand their role in the company’s cultural evolution.

Strategic Storytelling & Communication

• Work with the communications team to craft compelling narratives and content that highlight the company’s cultural journey and key initiatives.

• Develop internal communications such as newsletters, announcements, and blog posts to keep employees informed, inspired, and engaged.

• Support the development of multimedia content (videos, graphics, presentations) to visually communicate cultural messages and stories.

• Actively contribute to creating a cohesive narrative that connects all cultural activities and initiatives, helping employees see the bigger picture and the impact of their contributions.

Event Planning & Coordination

• Support the planning and execution of both virtual and in-person events that contribute to high employee engagement and foster a positive work environment.

• Collaborate with the internal events team to brainstorm, plan, and execute events that enhance team-building and cultural alignment.

• Assist in coordinating logistics, creating promotional materials, and managing event communications to ensure successful event outcomes.

• Partner with leadership, HR, and the communications team to promote and communicate cultural events effectively, ensuring they are well-aligned with the broader cultural goals of the organization.

Be all of you

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.

• Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives that engage and inspire.

• Proactive, creative thinker with a passion for cultural development and employee engagement.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Familiarity with internal communications platforms (e.g., intranet, email newsletters) and basic design tools

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.

• A strong understanding of event planning and coordination is a plus.

Internship must-haves

• Located within approximately one hour traveling time from the Amsterdam Office

• Eligible to work within the EU

• Must be enrolled in full time continuing education

• Available from 01 Feb 2025 for a 6-month full time program

• Our internship program primarily focuses on practical experience and skill development; therefore, we are not able to support research focused internships.
