Philips Internship - Training Plan and Execution Management in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Intern on Training plan and execution management

Within the Change Management and Adoption Team we are looking for a talented intern that will be part of orchestrating training plans and managing their execution. The role entails seamless coordination with PU, KPMG, BY, and internal COEs/business stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of change initiatives

Your role:

In this role, you will conduct training needs analysis, design, and develop training programs, coordinate training logistics, collaborate with PU on e-Learning curriculum, and KPMG, BY and internal COEs/business stakeholders. You will be involved in key user training and end user training plan execution for all roles involved. You'll play a pivotal role in a project involving numerous stakeholders and driving transformation within Philips.

You are responsible for

  1. Training Needs Analysis: Identify training needs through surveys, interviews, or assessments to determine gaps in skills, knowledge, or performance.

  2. Training Program Design and Development: Design, develop, and update training programs, materials, and resources, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training (ILT), workshops, and job aids.

  3. Training Delivery: Facilitate training sessions, workshops, or webinars to deliver content effectively to employees. This may include both virtual and in-person training sessions.

  4. Training Coordination: Schedule training sessions, coordinate with trainers or facilitators, and manage logistics such as venue bookings, equipment setup, and materials preparation.

  5. Team up with PU and build the e-Learning curriculum: upload training materials, track employee progress, generate reports, and manage user accounts.

  6. Evaluation and Feedback: Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback sessions. Analyze data to measure the impact of training on employee performance and business outcomes.

  7. Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and update training programs to ensure they remain relevant, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.

  8. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to promote training opportunities, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

  9. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure training programs comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Prepare and submit reports on training activities, participation, and outcomes as required.

  10. Training Budget Management: Manage the training budget effectively, monitor expenses, and seek cost-effective solutions for training initiatives.

A team comprising senior project managers, leaders, and interns collaborates within the Voyage Project within the Integrated Supply Chain. Colleagues from seven different workstreams, along with external vendors, contribute significantly to this project's impact.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

-A bachelor’s student for human resources, organizational development, education, instructional design, or a related field is typically required. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance, CPLP) can be advantageous.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other training software/tools. Familiarity with multimedia tools for creating engaging training materials.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively deliver training sessions and create training materials.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with employees, trainers, and stakeholders.

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify training needs, design effective training programs, and address challenges or issues that arise during training delivery.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt training programs based on feedback, changes in organizational needs, or emerging trends in training and development.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in training materials, documentation, and evaluations.

Advantage- Experience: Previous experience in training, instructional design, or a related field is often required. Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms can be beneficial.
