Position Description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Quality Assuranceto join the Data Center Power & Control Division in Anaheim, CA OR Farmingdale, NY.The Senior Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for planning and managing all activities of the quality function to ensure the optimum quality of all company products, by developing and maintaining quality plans for all products and processes.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000

What Will You Do?

  • Develop and implement activities that support manufacturing quality objectives and develop policies and procedures to support business quality goals.

  • Provide a hands-on approach to quality management ensuring processes, procedures, and product development processes provide quality excellence at all times.

  • Prioritize and monitor the activities of Quality Department personnel to ensure they are aligned with the critical activities supporting business objectives and follow up and prioritize as needed.

  • Analyze quality data from suppliers, customers, and manufacturing to identify actions that correct specific problems and further improve all quality plans to ensure continuous quality improvement.

  • Utilize quality tools to eliminate waste, assuring the quality department is responsive to the team and corporate needs.

  • Assure the requirements of the quality management system are maintained within the requirements of ISO, including quality reporting, corrective/preventive actions, Internal Auditing System, and customer complaint tracking.

  • Work with internal teams and suppliers on quality-related issues, support the Sales/Field teams on quality-related issues with customers, and ensure capacity and training of direct hourly quality personnel is sufficient to carry out all quality duties in our factories.

  • Responsible for interfacing with suppliers, sales, and Customer Service as it relates to supplied parts and customer complaints.

  • Interface with New Product Development and Operations Leaders to ensure the activities related to new products are suitable for manufacture.

  • Assure the Document Control System is maintained to support plant requirements.

  • Conduct analysis of manufacturing processes for improvement.

  • Ensure clear and timely communication with support personnel and senior management regarding quality issues and corrective actions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Education:

  • BS in Engineering, Quality a or relevant field is required.

    Experience:

  • 5-10 years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • A hands-on leader, willing to spend time with the teams developing a robust quality process to ensure delivery of a top-quality product that meets the expectations of our customers.

  • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.

  • Strong computer skills, proficiency with common office software, particularly advanced spreadsheet skills, and ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively.

  • Posses strong statistical analysis skills and demonstrated experience in data analysis to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract necessary information, and validate understanding of the information. Able to create effective reports, presentations, and business correspondence.

  • Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage to a project plan, establish priorities, and work to deadlines.

  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise others, provide guidance, develop and motivate a team to achieve superior results, and accomplish overall business objectives.
