Philips EMC Test Engineer in Andover, Massachusetts

Your challenge

This is a role within the Andover Standards and Reliability Center (ASRC) Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Group at Philips in Andover, Massachusetts. This is an opportunity to be part of a well-seasoned team that performs EMC test and standards compliance verification for all Philips designed Medical and Information Technology Equipment. The EMC group performs a very important role in ensuring products designed by Philips are of the highest quality and comply with national and international EMC standards and Regulatory requirements.

You are responsible for

  • Support business clients and ASRC staff with conducting tests for assigned projects from start to completion.

  • Participate in the preparation of the test reports for submittal to Philips business customers, Third-party agencies and regulatory authorities.

  • Support test demonstrations for internal and external ISO 17025 audits for our accreditation and other third-party audits as an IECEE CTF level 3 laboratory.

  • Support and adhere to ISO 17025 quality management system activities including annual proficiency testing, training, corrective actions, improvement actions.

  • Own all aspects of testing assigned ensuring accurate execution of test procedures, communication with senior engineers and engineers and ensuring their satisfaction, and reporting of all deviations and ensuring deliverables are provided in defined timeline.

  • Responsible to conduct all the activities related to EMC processes including, Preventive maintenance, CAPA, EMC test activities, design and manufacture of test fixture to facilitate EMC testing, troubleshoot and maintain EMC equipment and EMC equipment calibration and installation.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, a related specialized area or field is required.

  • 1 year of relevant work or EMC experience.

  • Highly passionate and positive infectious attitude who strives for high performance, product quality, and with attention to detail.

  • Possess the ability to work well in a team and the skills and the ability to work independently to get things done efficiently and timely.

  • Organized with strong detail focus and the ability to write thorough, accurate documentation of test results, test forms and quality management system records.

  • Good fundamentals in electrical engineering circuit concepts and use of electrical test equipment.

  • Affinity with Testing and Improvement

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
