POSITION PORPOSE

  • Experienced Behavioral Health Nurses with Unit Management experience have an opportunity to manage the Behavioral Health Unit at Trinity Health Ann Arbor.

  • The Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit (1 East) is a 24-bed unit which offers a healing environment for individuals experiencing mental health related disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and thought disorders, such as schizophrenia.

  • Our Inpatient Behavioral Health Units are secure units for patients 18 years of age and older. The Behavioral Health clinicians and staff engage openly with patients and provide therapeutic and skills-based care designed to enhance the patient's ability to cope with thoughts and feelings.

  • In addition to daily individual and group therapy, patients also benefit from exercise, activity time and music therapy. We pride ourselves on our healing, respectful and non-judgmental environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the Inpatient Behavioral Health program.

  • Your input is valued as a member of the Behavioral Health Services leadership team, responsible for planning for the future growth and needs of the department.

  • Consulting with hospital leadership to coordinate services, provide exceptional patient care and expand the services of the program.

  • The selected candidate will lead a team of over 40 RN's, Techs, Social Workers, Clerks and Activity Therapists.

MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • To be considered share your five or more years of Behavioral Health Clinical experience and relevant nursing management background.

  • Must have significant clinical skill/knowledge of behavioral health; demonstrated leadership experience, planning and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team.

  • A Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse is required.

  • A BSN is required and a MSN is preferred.

  • Excellent skills in communication, team building, problem solving, and analysis of department activities.
