Vista Outdoor Accounting Analyst in Anoka, Minnesota

Job Description

This position reports to the Sr. Accounting Manager and allows you the ability to gain valuable experience as you learn about accounting in a large manufacturing environment. This role based out of our Anoka, MN office.

As the Accounting Analyst, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Provide timely and accurate general ledger account reconciliation and analysis.

  • Track tangible fixed asset expenditures and maintaining the fixed asset register.

  • Coordinate and assist with reviewing and improving the equipment leasing process and provide strategic advice on responsible deployment of financial resources.

  • Analyze capital projects to validate planned return on investment is achieved.

  • Perform accounting analysis on various transactions and maintain a high level of accuracy in a timely manner.

  • Ensure proper SOX controls procedures are followed.

  • Certify quarterly financial controls.

  • Oversee various month-end close processes.

  • Balance Sheet and Income Statement analysis before results are published.

  • Manage, improve and document various financial processes.

  • Perform other duties as requested.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

  • CPA Exam eligible *preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Applied Accounting Principles.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and experience in financial ERP solutions (Microsoft AX a plus)

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working with individuals throughout an organization including levels of management.

  • A hybrid work environment (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
