Anoka County Community Social Services and Behavioral Health (CSS/BH) currently has three full-time Social Worker positions open in Child Protection between the Ongoing Case Management team and Investigation team. We are hiring for two positions in ongoing case management and one in investigations. Ongoing Case Management Ongoing Child Protection Social Workers (Case Managers) provide case management services to families who have been Court-ordered to participate in services to ensure the safety and well-being of their children. Most often, children have been removed from their family of origin and placed in foster care (relative/kinship or non-relative) due to safety concerns. Case managers work closely with the parents and children to develop plans to resolve the child protection issues to ensure the reunification of the family. There are times reunification isn't possible and permanency decisions are made cooperatively with parents or decided through a trial if needed. Investigation Child Protection Investigation Social Workers (Investigators) investigate screened-in reports of maltreatment alleging abuse and/or neglect of children that meet criteria for an investigative response (child is in immediate or significant danger, and/or allegation requires an investigative response per MN screening guidelines). During an investigation, the Investigator interviews the child who is the alleged victim of the maltreatment, the child's parents, the alleged offender of the maltreatment and other people, such as school staff or medical providers, who may have information regarding the child's safety. Consider joining a team of professionals dedicated to providing services and support to families within the community!
