The primary objective of the Principal Transformation Consultant is to advise clients and recommend products and solutions that add business value. This role uses their expertise related to business challenges, industry trends, the competition, business models, industry value chain/business processes, industry segments, solutions, the regulatory environment, benchmarks, and standards bodies, to create value and enable successful business outcomes for global NTT clients - enabling the client to transform their business and their industries. This role is an expert in one or more particular industries or verticals and is extremely knowledgeable on industry trends and the marketplace and players. This role deals with complex client accounts.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Takes ownership of conducting meetings, writing proposals, and delivering presentations.

  • Provides guidance and oversees the development of strategies and plans that define how existing and emerging technology should be utilized to support an organization's overall business strategy.

  • Facilitate and lead client workshops with C-suite and senior-level participants.

  • Use client engagement skills to identify, analyze and translate client problems into areas for improvement.

  • Understand and integrate NTT's company-wide solutions to enable the client’s business transformation.

  • Improve the client’s business and ensure business development by translating opportunities into innovative solutions for the client.

  • Guide the identification of client requirements and oversee value assessments and business process analyses.

  • Use expertise to estimate the scope of consultant and/or architect effort and accurately estimate complex project time required for completion.

  • Take ownership of client-facing workshops by collecting, reviewing, and analyzing both business and IT issues.

  • Maintain subject matter expertise by staying abreast of current trends and best practices.

  • Attend industry and technical conferences to ensure that they remain abreast of developments in their area of expertise and related disciplines.

  • This position requires a combination of travelling to domestic and international client sites, working remote, and/or if available, working in a company office.

  • This position is located in the United States.

  • Applies broad expertise and knowledge in highly specialized fields or several related disciplines

  • Leads and contributes to development of company objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways

  • Able to work in a global team environment with requisite strong interpersonal skills

  • Recognized externally and internally as a subject matter expert in one or more industries with the ability to work on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles

  • Focuses on providing thought leadership and works on projects, which requires understanding of wider business

  • Deep vertical/domain/industry expertise coupled with consulting and client engagement experience, demonstrating good experience in client needs assessment and change management

  • Excellent understanding of business transformation coupled with strategic thinking ability

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships

  • The ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the delivery of business transformation

  • Knowledge and understanding of how business needs translate to digital transformations

  • Extensive knowledge of systems, software, and programming languages

  • Ability to focus on detail with an understanding of how it impacts the business strategically

  • Excellent client service orientation

  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations

  • Ability to establish and manage processes and practices through collaboration and the understanding of business

  • Ability to facilitate workshops with a variety of client situations

  • 10+ years operations/digital transformation experience in one of following industries required: healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, telecom/hi-tech, retail

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Degree in relevant field

  • Relevant industry-specific accreditations and/or affiliations

Required Experience:

  • Extended combined experience in a consulting role, industry role, and/or IT role (preferably multi-national)

  • Extended experience integrating solutions for particular projects with the business domain, enterprise concerns, industry standards, established patterns, and best practices

  • Extended transformational consulting experience

  • Extended experience in running discovery workshops, linked to presenting findings back to the client as well as capability to interact and resolve any areas when challenged on findings and or recommendations in a collaborative and successful manner

  • Extended business development and pre-sales experience

  • Extended management consulting and business transformation track record
