Eaton Corporation Senior Human Resources Generalist in Arden, North Carolina

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist. This role will take place at our facility in Arden, NC.

As the Senior HR Generalist you will recommend, plan, implement and coordinate a wide variety of Human Resource programs and policies and day-to-day personnel activities in accordance with legal, local, divisional and corporate guidelines. Additionally, you will provide support in functional areas of human resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, training, and special projects. Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, communications, and/or meetings. You will also prepare reports in conformance with legislated requirements or organization needs.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate the recruitment process for open factory salaried positions and assistance in the selection and promotion process of the factory workforce.

  • Communicate and implement corporate, divisional and local HR policies/procedures.

  • Facilitate factory salaried performance evaluation process

  • Handle day to day employee relations issues.

  • Maintain affirmative action and EEO plans to meet federal, state and corporate guidelines.

  • Maintain a process for dispute resolution between employees and/or management.

  • Coordinate and prepare the wage and salary procedures.

  • Coordinate employee orientation program for new employees and employees transferring into facility.

  • Coordinate a variety of community related activities in conjunction with the Community Involvement Committee (United Way, March of Dimes, Habitat for Humanity, Eaton Foundation Requests).

  • Support efforts to maintain a positive employee relations plant atmosphere through knowledge of plant policies and procedures and responses to employee concerns/needs.

  • Support efforts to accomplish the overall goals and objectives of Human Resources Department.

  • Other duties, projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Human Resources.

  • Must be eligible to work in U.S. without company sponsorship now and in the future.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Arden, NC will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters’ degree from an accredited institution preferred.

  • SHRM certification

  • 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills (MicroSoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), Oracle HRMS, APEX, e-Star and other human resource software

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment related laws.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills sets.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
