U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center Budget Analyst in Arlington County, Virginia

Responsibilities Performs budget administration and analysis by analyzing trends and developments in budget planning, programming and execution concerning appropriations, funding priorities and workload management which supports overall program operations. Researches, compiles, and summarizes data concerning object class and line-item information needed for the formulation of budget estimates in accordance with Field Manual 1-06, Financial Management Operations. Analyzes and projects internal and external current year and out-years requirements based on established or projected requirements. Manages the reimbursable program serving diverse customers. Initiates and monitors the Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPR). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 or equivalent) grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Executing financial transactions and running reports in General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS); 2) Analyzing reports to identify errors and develop detailed program or financial plans; 3) Providing input on an organization's operating budget, financed/unfinanced requirements, mid-year review, execution review, or year-end closeout; AND 4) Participating in all budget phases to include formulation, justification, presentation, and execution for an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-2/GS-11. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget Administration Financial Analysis Financial Management Performance Measurement Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selectees must meet the position requirements for certification at Level 2 (Practitioner) in Business - Financial Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
