Job Summary

The Department of Management at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) seeks applicants for an open-rank tenure track position in Strategic Management OR Entrepreneurship. The preferred applicant will have completed their PhD in strategy, entrepreneurship, international business, or a closely related field. We seek individuals who are well-equipped to contribute to our research aspirations by demonstrating their ability to publish in universally-regarded “elite” journals in either strategic management or entrepreneurship. Also critical is a demonstrated capacity to teach strategy or entrepreneurship courses at all degree levels, and the ability to work well in a collegial, interdisciplinary department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The faculty candidate will be expected to teach at the graduate and undergraduate level depending on needs and qualifications.

Required Qualifications

A PhD in strategic management, entrepreneurship, or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited university is required to be considered. We seek individuals who have a demonstrated capability to teach strategy or entrepreneurship courses at all degree levels, who are dedicated to student success, and who are committed to working in a collegial, interdisciplinary environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have published their research in top journals in their field, have teaching experience, and have experience mentoring doctoral students.

The Department of Management is an interdisciplinary group of researchers and scholarly practitioners. We support BBA, MBA, HCAD, MSHRM, EMBA and PhD programs with classes in general management, leadership, entrepreneurship, international management, human resource management and strategy.
