Lockheed Martin Production Operations Development/T2P Lead -Arlington, TX in Arlington, Texas

Description: The Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control team is looking for a highly-motivated, process-oriented, and experienced leader to join the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense (LTIAMD) Evolutionary Development (EvDev) and Transition to Production (T2P) Team. The EvDev and T2P Team is responsible for managing all operational activities required for the effective integration of newly designed or redesigned hardware into the PAC-3 missile production line. Requirements include engagement across all affected production sites to ensure full-rate production can be met. Frequent cross-functional collaboration is also required to increase manufacturability and enable a seamless transition of the hardware into production.

The candidate will be expected to lead and motivate the team on best practices to ensure that the requirements of each of the development programs are met in a timely fashion, that hardware designs are producible (Design for Manufacture) in a full-rate manufacturing environment and at a competitive cost (Design to Cost), and that transitions are seamless and do not impact hardware delivery schedules. This role will require the ability to develop creative solutions to deliver contract requirements and support cross-functional teams on execution of assigned projects.

Frequent communication and partnership with other disciplines including various Design Engineering groups, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Production Planning and Control, Contracts and Program Management are required. Collaboration with other Engineering disciplines on hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test to meet manufacturing rates and cost is a must.

The position can also involve working directly with our government customers, proposal estimating, manufacturing readiness assessments, creating manufacturing plans, make or buy analysis, presenting at various design and manufacturing reviews, travel to various manufacturing facilities including suppliers and other Lockheed Martin sites and any other manufacturing or tooling related issues that may arise.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• A history of elevated performance within Operations Management or related disciplines supporting Production or Developmental Programs

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex

• Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data

• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

• Ability to travel domestic and/or international

Desired Skills:

• Bachelors or higher degree in related discipline (engineering, business, finance, etc.)

• Active security clearance

• Experience with Lockheed Martin manufacturing and assembly processes

• Intimate knowledge of the Lockheed Martin SAP MRP production control system

• PAC-3 Production experience

• Experience in design for manufacturing or design to cost

• Experience in multiple functional disciplines: Production, Global Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, etc

• Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

• Experience working with executive-level leadership

• Experience working with Government customers

• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience

• Ability to positively influence others in order to drive results

• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and developing enduring business relationships

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
