Summary About the Position: This position is with the National Guard Bureau, Joint Staff, NGB-J3/7, Domestic Operations and Force Development Directorate, Arlington, VA. Responsibilities Serve as the senior civilian logistics expert in establishing policy guidance and strategies in support of the organization. Lead projects to accomplish the Director of Operations intent within the organization. Develop logistics estimates and support plans for current operations. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Develop and implement improved business practices, approaches and methodologies into current organization systems and structures; Utilize financial systems and processes such as Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES) to monitor logistics readiness for the organization; develop new ways to measure and govern enterprise programs and policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Planning Organizational Development Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
