Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
General Description
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you are responsible for maintaining the equipment in the facility in both
the production floor, warehouse and the office area. You will also be responsible for cleaning and
providing minor repairs on Forklifts and Scissor lifts. This individual is to perform a variety of low-medium and skilled maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Tasks include but are not limited to:
1) Troubleshooting equipment
2) Routine lubrication of equipment
3) Ordering maintenance supplies/ parts
4) Following preventative maintenance program for equipment & facility
5) Assisting with equipment installations
6) Maintaining a clean, organized, and safety of maintenance shop and facility
7) Operation of forklift (experience and/ or forklift operator certificate required)
8) Assuring food safety and all regulatory requirements
9) Maintaining a clean and safe environment
10) Working with Controls/ PLC
Education & Experience
1) Associate Degree or 5 years or more of experience
2) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
3) Ability to work on weekends
4) Ability to speak, read, and write English, understanding and speaking Spanish is a plus
5) Mechanical maintenance experience is necessary
6) Electrical maintenance experience is an asset
7) Forklift experience/ operator certificate
8) Ability to work in cold refrigerated environment
9) Experience working in a food manufacturing facility is preferred
10) Good interpersonal and communication skills
Skills:
1) Solid knowledge of (OSHA) compliant workplace safety practices
2) Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with workers from other
cultures in a sensitive and harmonious manner
3) Competent in use of Excel, Word and Outlook
4) Strong analytical and decision making skills
5) Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
6) Strong understanding and conscious of safe work practices
