Description:

Assists in the organization and implementation of the Cardiac Cath Lab. Oversees the day-to-day clinical aspects related to the services of the Cardiac Cath Lab. This position is a Part Time position working 2 -10 hour days, with variable days Monday thru Friday. The shift will begin at 7:00am - 5:30pm with rotating call.

Responsibilities: Is responsible for the day to day clinical aspects of the Cardiac Cath Lab and ensures that all studies are performed and recorded in a safe, concise and professional manner in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for assuring procedural compliance with all nationally published standards.

Education/Experience: Current nursing license with BLS and ACLS certification, or working toward the completion of ACLS with in 3 months of employment. Minimum of one year clinical experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, Special Procedures, ICU, ER or other Cardiology specialty area.

Special Qualifications: Have necessary clinical understanding, technical skills, administer sedation and decision making ability to perform, report and manage any patient independently and safely during a Cardiac Cath Lab procedure and have a thorough knowledge of the cardiac system and disorders.
