This Emory Temporary Services (ETS) position will support Emory Law at the beginning of the academic year with the successful candidate starting no later than early August.

Job Duties/Requirements Include:

  • Be trained on Emory Law classroom AV systems,

  • Perform a daily walkthrough of classrooms to confirm classroom technology is functioning properly,

  • Assist professors on an as-needed basis with Powerpoint, Word and other teaching applications,

  • Have good PC desktop troubleshooting skills,

  • Occasional assist with event AV production,

  • Be punctual and reliable, and

  • Work weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Job Description:

  • Maintains technologies that support the teaching and learning mission of the University.

  • Deploys technology hardware and/or software applications via in-person and virtual assistance for students, faculty, staff and selected guests.

  • Supports and utilizes monitoring tools to troubleshoot incidents and enhance the availability of services.

  • Participates in the development and assessment of academic technologies and supports learning-based technologies in multiple formats.

  • Performs equipment refreshes and hardware installations; troubleshoots to identify issues and initiate fixes and resolutions.

  • Supports campus network access to support computers and mobile devices; coordinates with vendors and contractors to meet customer needs for out-sourced technology support.

  • Maintains any required auxiliary equipment pools to supplement and/or replace deployed equipment and technologies.

  • Performs testing, inspection and monitoring to assure established expectations are met.

  • Conducts orientations and training sessions to build user skills; assists UTS and Emory staff to support back-to-school efforts and related events.

  • Researches new products to remain current with market trends and recent technology requirements, and provides product recommendations to ensure effective operability and customer satisfaction.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree

  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience with IT, Instructional Technology, A/V Event Support Services, Video Technologies, or other related fields is preferred.
