Reports to: Chief Counsel and Compliance Officer, LibertyX & LibertyPay

Location: Atlanta, GA OR Frisco, TX (hybrid)

Position Overview

The Legal Administrative Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the implementation of the firm’s compliance program. This individual shall develop strong relationships across the organization and manage multiple work streams, in a changing environment. This role shall be responsible for providing support in the areas of project management; research and analysis; and day-to-day administration as part of the legal, regulatory and compliance team of the Moon Inc. group of companies (LibertyX, LibertyPay).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare various reports and presentations as part of the legal, regulatory and compliance function. Assist with documenting and tracking materials related to the organization’s compliance efforts, including policies and procedures, corporate filings, board resolutions, compliance plans, and compliance calendars.

  • Provide support for legal and compliance processes and identify opportunities for programmatic improvements to ensure the consistent development and implementation of interdepartmental and cross-functional team projects.

  • Respond to document requests relating to regulatory exams; due diligence or other inquiries.

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining an effective records management system.

  • Complete applications and filings required for regulatory and other corporate purposes.

  • Support Board of Directors and Board committee meetings and processes.

  • Assisting with and manage legal research and other special project work as assigned by other Legal and Compliance Department team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, finance, economics, law, CS, or other related fields

  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English; bilingual skills in Spanish a plus

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong analytical and organization skills

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and maintain a high-quality work product

  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to programmatically automate data management and reporting (e.g. SQL) preferred

  • Tech savvy with expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook

  • A hard worker who thinks globally, loves to learn, and is passionate about replacing traditional payments technology with the Bitcoin blockchain
