Position Summary

The Program Coordinator provides administrative assistance to team to support the accomplishment of program objectives; develops, coordinates, and advises staff regarding program policy. Funded by the National Institutes of Health ( NIH ), the Network for Community-Engaged Primary Care Research ( NCPCR ) overarching goal will be to narrow the health inequities widened among disproportionately impacted populations served by the primary care safety net across the southeastern United States (US) and nationally.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university

  • Minimum of two years of related experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with specific experience using MS Excel and PowerPoint-Intermediate skills

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in public health, communications, or other area as appropriate.

  • Three (3) year of office administrative experience

  • Two (2) years of partner and community engagement development experience

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty

  • Develops tracking procedures for project expenses.

  • Manages invoicing, contracts and agreements.

  • Provides financial reports/responses for project leadership as needed and provides financial projections for budget planning.

  • Assists in the preparation of budgets and grants; monitors, verifies and reconciles expenditure of budgeted funds as appropriate.

  • Develops, plans, coordinates and implements activities including, but not limited to, conferences, public events and other related meetings or events; develops and coordinates new ideas and concepts for program themes, materials and resources to supplement, expand or replace existing program components.

  • Plans and administers activities and strategies of the NCPCR project to include developing, implementing, and supervising related procedures, processes, and systems.

  • Communicates with project teams to maintain calendar of activities of the NCPCR advisory board and NCPCR Steering Commitee.

  • Maintains liaison with other programs, offices and departments at MSM to coordinate program business and to accomplish program objectives; interfaces with external organizations as appropriate to ensure cooperative efforts are enhanced and available resources are utilized.

  • Some local and national travel required

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
