CyberData Technologies Senior Statistical Programmer in United States

Title: Senior Statistical Programmer

Location: Remote

Provide support for data analysis projects which involve health survey data sets with complex design, medical records data, healthcare utilization datasets and population-level surveys. Examples include data sets available to the public with no restrictions (e.g., the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS), the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS), the Medical Expenditure Panel Surveys, Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project, IQVIA, and the National Survey of Family Growth). Support will also be provided to staff who analyze data sets that require special protocols and approvals (e.g., National Program of Cancer Registries, Medicaid, Medicare, and the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER)-Medicare linked data base).

  • Provide SAS programming skills, which include variable recoding, variable label and format creation, data manipulation, and analytic file creation, potentially from multiple data source files.

  • Produce descriptive statistical output for research covariates and outcomes. Output examples include frequency tables, summary statistics such as means or medians, and percentages.

  • Produce crude and age-standardized rates for research outcomes of interest, generate appropriate standard errors and confidence intervals for all requested estimates and identify and create linear, logistic or multiple regression models for research outcomes.

  • Provide technical assistance, feedback, and support to public health researchers focused on cancer prevention and control. It is expected that contractor collaboration on research projects will result in the completion of scientific publications and presentations. The contractor must possess the demonstrated capability to manage multiple assignments, providing all statistical deliverables in a timely manner.

  • Conduct data analysis and prepare tables, graphs, and figures for scientific manuscripts.

  • Conduct statistical and spatial models through small area estimation to link, process, and analyze public health surveillance, research, and administrative data.

  • Minimum Requirements: Senior-level programming experience is required to develop this system using Power Platform, SharePoint, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, SharePoint Designer, Structured Query Language (SQL) Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Reporting, Nintex Forms and Workflows, and Visual Studio.
