Job Description
Percentage of Time Spent:
20% picking up tickets coming from the help desk pushed up to Level 3. Ticket example "sending email and other side did not get the email" or Sharepoint is down. Ticket volume - 1 ticket per day, 3-4 total per day across the team.
30-40% Project Work - MDM Project, working with Intune.
10-20% On Prem work - spin up virtual machine, add more memory for virtual machine, expand hard drive, etc.
50% Azure - o365, SharePoint Administrator, Exchange Online, office apps, Outlook, Word, Azure, Active Directory.
Day to Day:
One of Insight Global's oil and gas clients is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of their on-prem Windows Server infrastructure as well as our Azure cloud platform. This role requires expertise in Windows Server administration, Azure Cloud Services, and a strong understanding of cloud computing principles. The Senior Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of their on-prem and Cloud based Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working within VMWare and Azure Cloud. This position requires you go to go onsite 1 time per month
Pay Rate can range from $130-140K depending on years of experience, skills and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements
5+ years of experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Azure Security
o Specifically experience with SSO, MFA, Azure Secrets
Experience managing and administering Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and security permissions.
Experience supporting/implementing Intune.
Experience designing and implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions for Windows Server environments.
Experience manage Windows Server environments on a VMware Platform.
Experience with ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices in all aspects of system administration.
Direct or indirect experience leveraging Powershell.
Bachelor's degree null
