Under general supervision, delivers enterprise, district, and business level data analytic solutions using business intelligence (BI) principles and practices.

Participates in, or leads development and implementation of analytical solutions for business problems.

Provides analytical services for low to moderate complex business strategies in the areas of data management, analysis, and presentment that can be used to make sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to requirements gathering and technical design, develops, tests, and delivers Business Intelligence solutions of low to moderate complexity. Provides estimates of time and effort for assigned tasks.

  • Provides ongoing support and user assistance for developed solutions. Works with project teams, business areas, and other automation functions to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to conduct analysis of business processes and participates in the development of business cases to support process change and/or Business Intelligence solutions.

  • Constantly improves skills and maintains knowledge of emerging technologies practices, and processes in the Business Intelligence and data analytics field. Assists in researching and evaluating related products and technologies.

  • Provides user consultation for Business Intelligence techniques and tools to expand user knowledge.

  • Participates in or leads evaluation of products, technologies, procedures, and work practices to develop solutions to align with strategic, operational, and project initiatives.

  • Identifies risks and provides remediation options.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • Five or more years

Knowledge Areas:

  • Business Intelligence principles and practices

  • Certified Business Intelligence Professional and/or Associated Tools (would be a plus)

  • Business and Data Analysis

  • Requirements analysis Solutions testing and development

  • Project Management experience including the ability to lead small projects

Technical Skills:

  • Structured and unstructured data sources

  • Data visualization design, development, and associated tools

  • Extract, Transform and Load ETL Tools experience (such as SQL and Alteryx)

  • Understanding of / experience with domain applicable technologies such as Excel, Python, R, reporting tools (such as PowerBI, Tableau), SQL, Sharepoint, and Low Code/No Code development (such as Salesforce Lightning, MS Dynamic & PowerPlatform)

  • Understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure

Certifications/Licenses :

  • Certified Business Intelligence Professional and/or associated tools (would be a plus)

  • Certified in one or more visualization tools (would be a plus)

  • Six Sigma certifications (would be a plus)
