SAIC Systems Engineer Associate in ATLANTIC CITY INT'L AIRPORT, New Jersey

Description

A key objective of the Integrated Display System Replacement (IDSR) Program is to maintain a long term hardware and software platform to support the FAA’s information display system needs. The requirements are to provide systems, software and hardware testing, integration and operational support to the IDSR Program. The contractor shall provide technical and operational support to maintain IDSR in the following main tasks: testing, documentation, evaluation and subject matter expertise.

Responsibilities:

Support lab testing of various releases of IDSR and NAS Information Display System (NIDS). NIDS is the NAS Integrated Display System replacement which is an Integrated Display System (IDS) designed to provide mission–critical, real–time data to Air Traffic Controllers spread across a wide geographic Air Traffic Control (ATC) region of the NAS. Primarily located in Tower Cabs and TRACONS, the system collects weather and aviation–related information from multiple sources and presents the data simultaneously to users over the network.

Qualifications

· Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering (e.g. software engineering, computer science, etc.) or related field.

· A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems, software and hardware testing, integration and operational support. FAA experience is a plus.

· Skilled in using MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills using both technical and user-friendly language.

· Possess a flexible personality, self-motivated and willingness to multi-task.

· Detailed-oriented mindset and proficiency in researching and analyzing highly technical information and systems.

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.

· Proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as, the ability to identify and resolve issues.

· Excellent troubleshooting skills.

· Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.

· Provide expertise in the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.

· Has broad knowledge of engineering procedures and provides expertise in the application of state-of-the-art technology to meet mission requirements.

· Create and update test procedures and create AIMS Trouble tickets as necessary.

US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
