Job Title: Lathe Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist for our 2nd shift to machine details from plate or flat stock according to blueprints to exact dimensions. You will be working with various materials such as steel, copper, and nickel, primarily producing hot runners for the plastic injection industry.
Responsibilities
Operate Haas 3-axis Lathe
Set up the machine and perform tool changes
Edit G&M codes for feeds and speeds
Perform quality inspections of each part using micrometers and calipers
Read and interpret blueprints
Essential Skills
3 years of CNC Lathe setup and operation experience
Editing of G&M codes
Experience with Haas or Fanuc controls
Ability to read blueprints
Proficiency in using digital micrometers and calipers
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Programming experience is a plus

Work Environment
The shop is clean and climate-controlled, offering a comfortable work environment. The facility includes multiple cafes and a workout room for employees. The 1st shift runs from 7am to 3:30pm (or 5:30pm when busy) with Saturday hours from 7am to 1pm. The 2nd shift operates from 7pm to 3:30am (or 5:30am when busy) with Saturday hours from 2pm to 8pm. Currently, the 2nd shift includes a 10% shift premium.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
