SUMMARY Executes material requirement plan to ensure material supply equals demand to support production. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains data integrity of ERP planning parameters, including but not limited to material master, information records, and source lists Analyzes, maintains, and executes Materials Requirement Plan (MRP) Ensures materials are available to support production through MRP execution, on-time delivery, and coordination of materials movement through receiving to production Participates in decision making of Master Production Schedule loading through proper materials sizing Effectively manages material requirement changes resulting from Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) and product End of Life (EOL) Resolves issues related to inventory, accounts payable and freight expenses Dispositions non-conforming material (MRB), excess, obsolete, and/or high stock materials Supports Accounts Payable in resolving invoice discrepancies Optimizes performance on purchasing related Drive By Wire Metrics Supports the optimization of overall cost of materials. Issues Purchase Orders to pricing, terms and conditions, per negotiated and agreed to conditions by Jabil Commodity Managers and Buyers Ensures suppliers adhere to established agreements Optimizes order management process to ensure effective communication with suppliers Monitors and continuously improves supplier delivery and quality performance Provides input to drive and execute Jabils commodity and pricing strategy Provides feedback on supplier performance and Jabils strategies Applies Lean Six Sigma methodology Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelors degree/ Mechanical/Electrical Engineering OR Materials Logistics Management (MLM) OR Supply Chain Management OR Business Administration OR equivalent Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabils software packages Strong negotiation, effective communication and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple tasks independently Job Title: Material Planner (continued) Solid problem solving skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS Individual may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
