Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Pay Range: Compensation for this position is $17.86 plus an additional estimated $29.00 in production pay, paid weekly. Teammates in this position average of $92,000 - $103,000 Overtime required, rotating 12 hour shifts

About Us: Basic Job Functions: A Mechanical Maintenance Technician will have a working knowledge of basic mechanical principles and possess practical experience as it relates to the mechanical maintenance function. Basic functions will include, but are not limited to: PM tasks such as lubricating Inspection and monitoring machinery Trouble shooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, power transfer mechanism such as coupling, gear boxes, belts and sheaves Basic metal fabrication including cutting, grinding, and welding. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times

Minimum Qualifications: 2 year vocational or technical degree or equivalent experience 2 years prior industrial mechanical maintenance experience Project Management experience Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Qualifications: Melt Shop/Caster or Rolling Mill Experience Experience with industrial hydraulic systems Experience with power transmission and machine assembly Experience with lubrication and bearing applications Leadership or Supervisory Experience Benefits: Medical and dental are just the beginning.
