Job Summary:
The Section of Pediatric Colorectal Surgery full-time (1.0 FTE – 40 hours per week) faculty position available at the rank of Instructor
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will primarily be expected to provide independent clinical services for pediatric colorectal surgery patients at Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO).
Inpatient responsibilities such as rounding, writing orders, patient assessment, patient education, care coordination, disease management and discharge
Close collaboration with pediatric colorectal surgeons, pediatric general surgeons, sub-specialty surgeons, intensivists, and hospital staff
Professional interaction with referring physicians and staff is essential.
Provides care to patients the Colorectal multidisciplinary clinic, Spinal Defects multidisciplinary clinic, Bowel Management clinic, and inpatient Colorectal patients.
Will also participate in bowel management clinical review each day of the monthly bowel management week.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Master's degree in Nursing and/or a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Current license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician's Assistant with prescriptive privileges.
Meets and maintains specific requirements of the Nursing Credential Review Board (NP) and the Medical Review Board (PA)
Acute Care Certification, as follows:
Effective July 1, 2022, only NPs with AC certification will be considered for positions that require direct patient management in the ED and inpatient clinical areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in general surgery, trauma, critical care, and pediatrics preferred.
First assist or surgical assist certification and experience preferred.
Preference will be given to Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant candidates who have experience

The starting salary range () for this position has been established as $107,058 to $144,851 for this 1.0 FTE position. The above salary range () represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
