Raytheon is seeking a Manager, Contracts in our Enterprise & Strategic Mission Systems Program Area within our Mission Solutions & Payloads (MSP) sub–Strategic Business Unit within our Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Strategic Business Unit.
This role provides contract management and administration of significant scope and complexity, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements for proposal, negotiation and contract execution. We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organized individual who enjoys working with collaborative, cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include developing creative approaches to solving problems while employing sound change management and communication skills.
The successful candidate will work onsite either at our El Segundo, CA or Aurora, CO campus with both internal and external customers to ensure programs' performance, provide guidance, and influence outcomes to achieve desired results.
What you will do
Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes and meet company objectives.
Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop business relationships
Partner with Key Program Functions in the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts execution, as well as general contract administration
Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope
Identify, mitigate, and drive the resolution of contractual issues as they may arise
Work closely within cross-functional teams to construct, submit, and negotiate Terms and Conditions and pricing proposals, examine and understand cost structure estimates of labor, material, engineering services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks.
Some domestic travel will be required to meet with the customer.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field and 8 years of relevant work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience.
Experience with U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) and related government regulations
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Active Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance
Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with customers and internal partners based on understanding, teamwork, and trust.
Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, where prioritization is required to be effective.

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 224,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
