What You Will Be Doing:

As the TEPS Program Manager you will administer the Truck Engine Product Support program acting as liaison between authorized TEPS dealers, Yancey Power Systems and Caterpillar. You will authorize new dealers and terminate others as necessary. You will also insure TEPS dealers maintain contractual agreements, support TEPS dealers to maintain contractual standards set by Caterpillar and influence Caterpillar truck engine products marketing programs to all authorized TEPS dealer through distribution chain. You will also establish marketing programs resulting in increased parts sales within the guidelines of Caterpillar’s TEPS programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain TEPS contractual standards

  • Current agreements

  • Monitor dealer performance

  • Maintain TEPS training requirements

  • Perform annual dealer evaluation

  • Parts Sales and Marketing Programs

  • Monitor sales growth or decline

  • Promote Caterpillar marketing programs

  • Parts systems support (i.e. SIS)

  • Monitor TEPS dealer returns

  • Warranty and Policy Administration

  • Effective warranty service

  • Warranty score card monitoring

  • Certify warranty technician

  • Perform TEPS warranty audits

  • CATPC maintenance

  • Facilitate policy issues for TEPS dealers

  • Assist technicians with technical problems and locate technical information for technicians.

  • Print schematics for technicians and customers.

  • Obtain parts prints from Morton Technical for machining and welding.

  • Identify repetitive problems and find solutions to the problem for Caterpillar.

  • Problem management of field follow machines.

  • Work with factory and engineers to solve performance-related problems on specific applications of a single machine.

  • Work with customers to provide technical support for purchased machines.

  • Provide support for ET and SIS software to customers that have purchased from us.

  • Determine whether machines are performing to Caterpillar specifications or not.

  • Determine when a machine has a Service Letter, TIB, or Service Magazine that covers a problem the customer may have.

  • Attend training and conferences to stay current on new products.

  • Assist warranty clerks in determining when a repair should be paid under warranty.

    Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.

  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.

    Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should have prior experience in the industry working in parts, sales or service. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

    Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Yancey Required Safety Training and Annual recertifications

  • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative

  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude

    Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Industry experience is preferred
