Job Title: Ham Boning Scale Clerk
Location: Hormel Plant-Austin, MN
Pay Range: $18.00-22.00/hour
Hours: 4:30 am - 2:00 pm
What’s the Job?
• Accurately weighs, labels, and records production in the Ham Boning departments using an electronic scale. Product comes from 4 different boning lines.
• Takes inventories of materials in Ham Boning as needed in order to reconcile / verify Manufacturing Pro and AS/400 inventory.
• Assists in the preparation of the official production records. The incumbent will assist Supervision in tallying and recording production information using Excel which is used as source information for our production and costing systems.
• Assists with the verifying of yields using the AS400 system.
• Keeps all containers on the lines labeled with a daycard throughout the shift.
What’s Needed?
• Ability to learn Plant-based computer applications (data collections and yields)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work on your feet and tolerate working in a 40 degree temperature
• Experience with personal computers, Window and Excel
• Ability to identify pork cuts is desirable
