CORE is the RTX operating system built upon the legacy of Lean and 6Sigma practices and is fundamental to how the company executes all business goals. The CORE operating system unifies business units and functions across the company with a common language and methodology. The CORE operating system assesses an organization’s maturity against a standard framework that tells us “What good looks like.” It then pinpoints the most critical areas to improve and provides a suite of improvement methods and a corps of employees trained to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
We are looking for a Core Strategic Engagement Lead (Senior Manager, Quality Systems and Compliance) to join our Raytheon Quality and Mission Assurance family. The selected candidate will directly support the Q&MA CORE Business Partner in driving the configuration, implementation and execution of CORE for the Quality and Mission Assurance organization. This role is responsible for CORE operating system deployment and oversight, collaborating with key Q&MA, Engineering, Operations & Supply Chain, Digital Technology and Strategic Business Unit stakeholders to deliver measurable performance improvement. Responsibilities include business metrics and strategic needs evaluation, opportunity identification, realization and risk mitigation, people development, resource prioritization, project selection and execution to achieve sustainable results and transformational business impact.
The successful candidate will work with, mentor and directly manage functional and program subject matter experts on cross-functional teams to increase quality, value delivery, velocity, efficiency, thereby reducing business and product costs. This role requires collaboration with management and sponsoring stakeholders to apply CORE tools and methods, as well as business, process and data acumen to translate expressed needs into achievable goals and actionable scope.
This role has visibility with key stakeholders and must have the ability to deliver tactical progress in alignment with strategic goals.
This is a “Remote” role.
What You Will Do :
You will partner with the QMA CORE Business Partner to promote a culture of using CORE everyday as the way we work and develop CORE knowledge and awareness within QMA employees
You will drive top priority strategic CORE engagements as a CORE advanced practitioner focused on continuously improving and automating processes to improve quality, efficiency, reduce waste and deliver results that have significant business performance impact
You will focus on strategic priorities aligned with the CORE Goal Alignment process and manage the engagement opportunity pipeline and CORE resource assignments
You will actively collaborate and provide guidance to domain stakeholders to accelerate CORE adoption, drive process maturity, improve operational performance and deliver results
You will facilitate workshops, execution progress reviews, and other forums to assist domains with CORE configuration, implementation, and deployment
You will identify and coordinate CORE maturity assessments to drive process improvements with defined plans which tie into improvement target goals
You will assist with tracking improvement targets, strategic initiative reviews, quarterly business reviews, and staff meetings
You will assist with building a CORE talent pipeline to meet CORE training and certification requirements
You will interface with CORE Functional and CORE Strategic Business Unit leaders on improvement opportunities within domains
You will train and coach the organization (especially Focals, Domain Owners, EiTs, Champions and Professionals) on performing CORE maturity assessments
You will become CORE Expert certified, if you are not already
Qualifications You Must Have :
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree (STEM or business-related field) and a minimum of ten (10) years prior relevant experience in the following;
CORE professional certification, or equivalent Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
Two (2)+ years of experience influencing and communicating with senior level stakeholders across the organization
Ten (10) Years experience in a highly matrixed organization with experience utilizing Six Sigma and lean process methodology to streamline business and program processes, execution and procedures
Broad experience with program and project management to oversee teams
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer :
CORE Expert or Expert in Training, Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent training and experience
Prior experience as a CORE embedded lead (or legacy organization equivalent) is a plus
Experience achieving business results; ability to make data-driven decisions and act with limited information
Experience driving transformational change across a highly matrixed organization through influence and change management
Experience executing projects, developing business cases and making portfolio investment decisions applying agile methodology
Experience with international requirements: ITAR/EAR, EXIM

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. Work Location
This is a Remote role, eligible candidates must reside within United States, preferably within commuting distance from Richardson, TX, Tucson, AZ or Andover, MA. If remote, will require travel 10-25% of time.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
