UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Director of the Center for Women in Law in AUSTIN, Texas

Working with the support and guidance of the EC, the Director leads the Center's strategic, operational, and development planning by engaging in a close working relationship with the EC on the following:Program/Event Planning and Management - Develop and execute programs and events for attorneys and students at various stages in their career. This will include the Power Summit, the biennial Awards Luncheon, the Accelerate Career Start program, the Susan Blount Power Lunch Series, among other programs.Outreach Build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including practitioners, employers, Power Circle members, and potential supporters of the Center. Participate actively with a national group of thought leaders in this field, including the Consortium for Advancing Women Lawyers and bar associations (state and national), professional groups, and academic centers at other universities that are aligned with the mission of the Center. The Director will represent the Center at national conferences and events (both as attendee and as presenter). Build and maintain strong relationships at Texas Law and across the University.Finances Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and development activities. The Director will work with the EC to develop the Centers budget and plans to raise the resources necessary to support the ongoing costs of the Centers staff and operations.Administration Manage the Centers staff and student interns. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Center and the execution of Center events and meetings. Assist with planning and execution of regular EC meetings and the annual Power Circle members retreat.Communications Manage communications from the Center, including social media and the website. The Director will develop media relationships, serve as a spokesperson for the Center, and write material to publicize the Centers mission and programs.Other related responsibilities and functions as assigned.
