JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for spacecraft operations through all stages of the development process for payloads and satellites.
Responsibilities will include system design, team leadership, and hands-on satellite operations.
Will work on a small team to develop satellites and put them in orbit.
Responsible for designing satellite operations systems from end to end and then utilizing those systems to commission and operate satellites in low Earth orbit.
Will provide creative solutions to complex problems to push the boundaries of satellite operations.
Present engineering design review materials to our customers and executive team, as well as participate in proposal-writing efforts
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace, Electrical or Software Engineering.
9+ years of experience with satellite systems
Must be experienced in satellite operations with the desire and ability to create operations systems as well as utilize them.
Need to be able to write script and pick up programming languages easily.
Need to have experience on missions and have solved problems on those missions.
Have lead a team in the past. A 'Technical Lead' not a people lead.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Python, C++, MATLAB, or other programming languages.
Experience with COSMOS or other test and operational interfaces.
Experiences standing up operations systems from scratch.
Experience across operations for multiple mission classes.
Operations team leadership experience.
