Charles Schwab Sr Specialist - Software Development & Engineering in Austin, Texas

Duties : Design and develop software solutions and business process solutions based on business needs/requirements using specialized domain knowledge and business expertise in multiple domains. Support and lead projects and programs within own organization with moderate complexity, scope. Provide technical expertise for team, and analyze and evaluate code issues making decisions within general parameters under broad supervision. Translate complicated information, effectively communicate alternatives, and influence cross-team collaboration. Conduct software development engineering interviews for the NERD program, and mentor and onboard new hires across teams. Represent the team as a subject matter resource with a moderately complex project or program within one’s own organization. Focus on quality in all aspects of work. Follow established standards of excellence and actively work with SDETs to improve testing standards. Analyze multiple sources of information and evaluate several alternative solutions before confirming implementation plans. Increase scope understanding of business objectives, priorities, and how they contributes to the success.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Job Location: Austin, TX

Salary: $139,464 to $160,800 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 60 months of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in a related occupation or a Master's degree and 36 months of experience. Experience must include the following: Develop microservices and CRUD RESTful Web API’s using ASP.Net Core 6+, Entity Framework Core, JWT Tokens, and Secure APIs; PCF, GCP, Azure, or AWS cloud infrastructure to develop, upload, and store scalable applications using Cloud Controller API resources; Angular/React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Typescript to develop two-way data binding front-end applications on SPA framework using TDD and BDD; Object Oriented Architecture and SOLID Principles in designing loosely coupled, modular, and upgradable software code; MongoDB and SQL Server/Oracle to configure complex document, relational schemas, and shard high-throughput data collections to enhance performance; and Git Repo and Bamboo to utilize a distributed model and automate integrating and deploying (CI/CD) applications in a single workflow.
