Martin/Martin, Inc. Mid-Level Engineer - Structural in Avon, Colorado

Description:Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for an experienced structural engineer to join our Avon, Colorado office. The ideal candidate will have experience in investigative engineering including assessment, evaluation, and repair of structures. This engineer will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of project types with many different structural materials in markets such as healthcare, commercial, municipal, education, and residential.

The Project Engineer should possess good judgment in evaluation, selection, and implementation of standard structural design techniques, procedures, and criteria. The Project Engineer provides quality control by checking calculations and documents and meets project deadlines and design budgets. The Project Engineer manages and directs projects from early design through construction and develops rapport and confidence with clients through communication and quality engineering work. The Avon office is located in the heart of the Vail Valley with easy access to Vail and Beaver Creek ski areas, gold medal fishing, and hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails.

Examples Of Responsibilities: * Provide structural engineering for large and small projects * Use Revit to produce structural models and drawings; supervise and review work of Bim technicians * Communicate with clients, contractors, and owners through reports, drawings, and other written and verbal communication. * Provide quality-control check of work produced * Coordinate structural design with work of other disciplines * Provide project construction administration support including shop drawing review, responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), and field observations * Works collaboratively with staff at Martin/Martin, Inc

Requirements: Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum * Demonstrates ability to be in responsible charge of projects * Registered as a Professional Engineer * 4-6 years of progressive engineering experience. (MSCE/MSAE counts as 1 year)

Desired Qualifications: * Licensed PE in Colorado * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Previous experience in investigations including building assessment, report writing, and repair documentation. * Ability to design, detail, coordinate, and model small to medium size projects within time and budget constraints * 2 years' experience as a Professional Engineer. * Passed the 16-hour structural engineering exam
